Our Mission
Our “Kaupapa” is our reason for being – the ideas, values and principles that inform all that we do. It speaks to why Northcity exists as a church whānau.
We long to be a church where reconciliation shapes every relationship — with God (Worship), with one another (Whānau), and with the world (Mission).
Through worship, we are centred in the presence of Jesus and transformed by his love.
Through mission, we participate in God’s work of renewal and healing in our communities.
Together, we live as one whānau called to reflect God’s kingdom in all we do.

Our Story
Northcity Church began in 1981 as Northcote Christian Fellowship, when five families gathered and experienced the freshness of God’s presence. From those small beginnings, we have journeyed through seasons of both joy and challenge.
Along the way, we have grown and changed — including adopting the name Northcity Church — yet have remained consistent in our core priorities: Loving God, Loving One Another, Loving Our Neighbour.
These foundations continue to shape who we are and how we serve. Our desire for God’s peace and reconciliation finds expression in every area of life. This includes our commitment to the wider body of Christ across our city and our partnership with the national LinkNZ network of churches, where we find accountability, support, and shared purpose.
As we move forward, we do so with deep gratitude for God’s faithfulness, trusting Him to continue guiding us as our story unfolds.
