One of the key metaphors (word pictures) used to describe the church is the “body.” Our natural bodies are made up of various parts, all connected and all essential to its proper functioning. So it is in the church- every member’s function and participation is essential to the well being and growth of the body (church).
God has wired us all differently, and when we discover our God-given gifts, passion and appropriate area of functioning within the body, we come alive, others are influenced, and together we make a difference!
